In the silence one seeks the absolute Tao. In Tao there is no beauty and no ugliness. For it knows no antitheses, it is called absolute. On the contrary, nothing of this world is absolute, because all things we live through are relative. Seeking the absolute might be one of the greatest aims, however you can't keep sitting on you meditation cushion forever. You have to go out and seek the live. This is the knowledge of Tao's outer sphere, which is part of the whole existence. You need to explore everything, what you find interesting. You ought to learn every skill, which you wish to posses. Every object which awakes your curiosity should be explored, every uncertainty should be overcome and for every question it is necessary to find the answer. If you do not do so, then you can't feel free in the outer sphere of Tao and each of your uncertainties will cause obstacles. In the begining it might seem, that there is no connection of the meditation to the outer sphere of our life. Even the masters do continuously put emphasis on the difference between the spiritual and social life. However in the end, you will reach the point, where the peace of contemplation and activity of daily life are integrated in one whole. In that moment you can get rid of the worries, weather you live spiritual life or not. You will find out, that it is all part of the same.
